A woman against the odds

Today I am very happy to welcome Grace to the show. This woman brings fresh air and hope, coming from a disadvantaged background and making it all the way up to portfolio management. She oversees £800mio of assets and has been awarded Fund Manager of the year 2021 for women in investments. Not forgetting where she is coming from, she has a contagious simplicity, is mindful of what she spends, and loves to give back. She is well aware not everyone has her ascent, and as a lot of things happen at a young age, she is very involved and dedicated to sharing skills and knowledge with teenagers. She mentors, educates, prepares for interviews, and runs an investing group to show them finance can be an option.In this episode, we’ll talk about obstacles she faced when she was at uni, how she moved from audit to thrive in the fund management industry, what her job represents for her, how she lives and why investing is so important.
