Taking Initiative with Will Yahr, GM turned Camp Director and Owner Extraordinaire for his family

Today with talk with Will Yahr, one of the youngest General Manager's in the history of Ritz-Carlton that took the "initiative" when an opportunity presented itself to become the co-owner of Kiwi Day Camp.  He is able to spend time with his two young daughters every day and help to influence not only his young campers but also the directors that he leads. We learn why he loves making a difference in the lives of others, whether for hotel guests or for kids.  Why creating a team, for sports or for business, is all about coming together for a common goal and purpose.   His mother taught him the word "initiative" which has been embedded into his core.  As a child, he learned to take out the garbage, and then he would ask himself, based on his mother's encouragement, "what else can I do next?"   He would then replace the can with a new trash bag.  "What's next?"   Separate some of the items that could be recycled.  "What's next?"   Wash out the trash containers.  "What's next?".
