The allegations were made public last weekend in a joint investigation by The Times of London, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4 documentary team “Dispatches.” Brand has vehemently denied the claims. #russellbrand #thetimes #investigation Russell Brand is denying what he says are “very serious criminal” allegations made against him related to past “promiscuous” behavior. Today's episode examines our culture's OBSESSION with Celebrities and the excuses we make for their bad behavior. At what point do we say enough is enough with these BAD ACTORS?! About Collier: On New Year's Eve 1989, Collier Landry was jolted awake by two loud thuds. When his mother disappeared the next day, he knew she was gone for good—only one detective believed him. He started gathering evidence against his father, leading police to discover her body buried beneath a house in another state. At age 12, Collier testified against his father at his month-long murder trial; he remains imprisoned. In a new video shared on his social media on Friday, Brand, 48, said he “absolutely refutes” the claims and described them as "extremely egregious and aggressive attacks." “I’ve received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks,” he began in the video. “But amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks, are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.” Although Brand did not name the TV company or newspaper, his video comes ahead of a new special investigation episode of the U.K. current affairs show Dispatches airing Saturday night. For many years, the comedian was a familiar face on Channel 4, presenting “Big Brother” spin-off “Big Brother’s Big Mouth” among other fare. He starred in Hollywood films such as "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get Him to the Greek." YouTube has blocked Russell Brand from making money off its platform, and the BBC pulled some of his shows from its online streaming service. Live Schedule (Check Twitter @collierlandry for updates!)
