1978 - Kennebunk, Maine. On a hot summer day in July of 1978, a group of young sky divers made a chilling discovery as they flew over the skies of Gracie Evans Field in Lyman—the lifeless body of a young woman.  Her death was quickly ruled a homicide, and news spread like wildfire through the neighboring coastal Maine towns. The woman was identified as Mary Ellen Tanner, who had just celebrated her 18th birthday just weeks prior.  Mary was last seen on the evening of Friday, July 7th, 1978 on the Mousam River Bridge in the center of town, hitchhiking her way home, which was just a short distance away.  But Mary was holding onto a secret… and investigators couldn’t help but wonder if this gave her killer a motive to pick her up that night.  What happened to Mary Ellen Tanner?
