Kosh is a Grammy Award Winning art director and former design director for Apple Records. His first project was John Lennon and Yoko's “War Is Over (if you want it)” Christmas card, which led to the worldwide WAR IS OVER billboard campaign that continues to this day. He designed The Beatles’ Let It Be book and album package and the Abbey Road album cover, as well as John & Yoko’s Wedding Album boxed set. He worked extensively with Linda Ronstadt, garnering three Grammys for her albums, Simple Dreams, Get Closer and Lush Life. He designed and art directed the iconic logo and cover, Hotel California for the Eagles, the classic logo for ELO and designed the cover for The Who’s Who’s Next and The Rolling Stones’ Get Yer Ya-Yas Out. On today’s episode we’ll discuss the making of several of these iconic album covers, his early days working with John and Yoko and his longstanding friendship with Ronstadt. It’s a fun retrospective on the covers that have become almost as recognizable as the music itself.
