What to do if you suspect your child may have PANDAS Dr. Scott Antoine's Bio: Dr. Scott Antoine,DO, FACEP, FMNFM, ABOIM also known as the "PANDAS Doc" completed his undergraduate training at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, after which he completed his doctorate at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, he completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and an Emergency Medical Services Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He then served seven years of active duty with the United States Army as an Emergency Physician, serving as both the Emergency Department Director and the Chief of the Department of Medicine at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Upon completing his term of service, he moved to Indianapolis in 2005 and works as an Emergency Physician at St. Francis Hospital where he also trains students from both the Indiana University School of Medicine and Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his board certification in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Antoine completed a fellowship in Metabolic, Nutritional, and Functional Medicine through the Metabolic Medical Institute, which is affiliated with George Washington University and the University of South Florida. In 2016, he was one of only 121 physicians nationwide to achieve board certification in Integrative Medicine through the newly formed American Board of Integrative Medicine. He is also holds a certification in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. He and his wife, Ellen, also a PCOM graduate, currently run a busy Functional and Integrative Medicine practice in Carmel, Indiana where they focus on environmentally acquired illnesses such as PANDAS. They have five children and two dogs. In his spare time, Dr. Antoine enjoys playing the bass guitar.
