The June 2024 featured apparatus on the @FireandSafetyNJ Calendar project is Engine 474, Ramtown Fire Company, Howell Township, NJ. This Behind the Build series focuses on the construction and design features of this 2022 International HV507 4x4 4-Door Chassis with a @PierceMfg build. Boasting a Cummins L9 360HP engine, Allison EVS4500 transmission, Meritor front and read axles, a Waterous CSU20 1250 GMP single stage pump and a 750 gallon water tank, this build is a welcomed addition to the Ramtown FIre Co. This unique builds addresses their needs in the wildland interface due to the significant growht of their area into the remote sections of their township. Being able to operate as a first due engine company on structural fires or suppressing brush and vegetation fires, Engine 474 is able to handle the job.
