Haden Guest, director and curator, Harvard Film Archive. American filmmaker Anne Charlotte Robertson (1949–2012) was a Boston-area Super 8 filmmaker who examined and shared her life through her work. Working alone and in relative obscurity during her lifetime, she crafted her films with the absolute minimum of financial or institutional support. On May 20, 2018, Haden Guest, director of the Harvard Film Archive, presented a selection of Robertson’s short films as part of the series Avant-Garde to Underground: Outliers and Film, Part 2, programmed in conjunction with the exhibition Outliers and American Vanguard Art.
