The Methylation Cycle Methylation is a type of gene expression. There are hundreds of different methylation reactions in the body. Most commonly noted is its role in the body’s ability to detoxify. Eighty five to ninety percent of people with autism are known to have reduced methylation. Methylation is required to produce glutathione.   When there is heavy toxic burden on the liver it has a strong demand for the body’s master antioxidant glutathione. When glutathione level drops low enough, the sulfur metabolism becomes disrupted. The methylation cycle (part of the sulfur metabolism, or detoxification) can become partially blocked and deplete some or all of several important sulfur containing metabolites including S-Adenosyl Methionine (SAMe), cysteine, glutathione, taurine, and sulfate. This can create such a weakening in the system that it allows disease to develop. It is crucial to assist the liver. A few of the many symptoms of methylation disruption are associated with liver disruption. Liver Detoxification Pathway Elixir is an excellent choice for liver support and detoxification. Glutathione can also be taken in supplemental form. MPR elixir is a liquid sublingual supplement which optimizes the enzymatic activity related to methylation pathway repair and stimulates repair of any damaged DNA controlling the methylation pathway. Do you or your child have any symptoms of liver and methylation disruption such as: lowered immunity hearing trouble and ear infections headaches depression  irritability  fatigue  ADHD skin problems (itching, acne, hives, rashes) sinus and tonsil issues tooth decay and gum disease viral infections parasites thyroid imbalance protein synthesis respiratory issues poor assimilation of nutrients digestive difficulty Dr. Bob Miller’s bio (brief): Bob Miller is a Traditional Naturopath specializing in the field of genetic-specific nutrition. He earned his naturopathic degree from Trinity School of Natural Health and is board certified through the ANMA.
