Bodies after Babies with Alice King

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses body dysmorphia and makes reference to eating disorders and relationships with food. If this is a difficult subject for you I totally understand if you want to sit this one out! This episode I talk with the gorgeous Alice (@aliceandthemumsmag) all about our changing relationships with our bodies after becoming mums. We talk about where we were with our bodies before, where Alice talks openly and honestly about her diagnosis with body dysmorphia disorder and the journeys we have been on to get to where we are now. We also talk a lot about therapy and both of our experiences with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and how we use those techniques to this day.  As promised in the episode below are links to two books I swear by, but I will always advise on getting medical support if you want to engage in any type of therapy for support!  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Your Toolkit to Modify Mood, Overcome Obstructions and Improve Your LifeCognitive Behavioral Therapy: Retrain your Brain to Overcome Depression, Anxiety and Panic AttacksAlso I wanted to remind you that this month all of the Patreon income is being donated to the charity Bliss which support parents with preemie or sick babies who spend time in NICUs across the UK.
