Germany poised to introduce partial COVID lockdown measures

With the number of COVID-19 cases rising sharply across Europe,German Chancellor Angela Merkel is urging state leaders to adopt partial lockdown measures next week. Also in the programme, anti-government protesters in Nigeria remain defiant, despite the deaths of at least 12 people at the hands of the army last week and protecting Australia's Great Barrier Reef by paying farmers to reduce the amount of pollution they use on their land.
