Interview with Margie Ferree Jones, Dean of The Collins College of Hospitality Management

Margie Ferree Jones is the interim dean of The Collins College of Hospitality Management. Dr. Jones has been a member of the college faculty as a professor at Cal Poly Pomona since 1990. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Claremont Graduate University, a master’s degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Indiana University. Perhaps best known as “the wine professor”, Dr. Jones is a certified wine educator (CWE) and a certified sommelier (CS). She has taught courses in strategic leadership, marketing, special events, food & beverage, and hotel/resort planning & development.
