Welcome back to Not A Bomb! This is the podcast where we explore some of cinema’s biggest box failures and decide if they deserve a second chance. Alright, alright, alright, the McConaughthon continues with one of the biggest box-office failures of all time: the 2005 action-adventure film Sahara. Known for its troubled production and questionable accounting practices, Sahara saw its budget double and was released with little fanfare. Troy and Brad take a deep dive into this adventure film, which blends elements of Indiana Jones and James Bond, and try to determine if it truly deserves the label of one of the biggest bombs in cinematic history. Sahara is directed by Breck Eisner and stars Matthew McConaughey, Steve Zahn, Penelope Cruz, Lambert Wilson, Glynn Turman, Rainn Wilson, Delroy Lindo, and William H. Macy. Head over to the Not A Bomb Tee Public store and check them out. Special thanks to Ted Blair for the amazing designs! We're committed to hearing your feedback and suggestions.
