In Pastor Mark’s first sermon in our brand new series “Hearing God”, he shared some foundational ideas that will be the bedrock of our understanding that God is a God who we communicate with. He taught us that we can hear God, that God can hear us, and that in order to commune with God we must communicate with Him. Wandering happens when we don’t hear the voice of the Shepherd, but great purpose and identity is found in knowing the voice of God and hearing what He speaks over his children. 1 Sam 3:1-11 &19 1- God can hear me 2- I can hear God 3- Communication is where we commune with God. Gods voice: A- Agrees with Bible B- Makes me more like Jesus C- Is confirmed by our church D- reflects how God made me E- Full of Peace F- convicts not condemns Need prayer?
