Cancelo dazzles as our lead is extended | City 2-0 Brentford

It’s now two wins from two for City since returning from the mid-season break – the latest a 2-0 win over Brentford at the Etihad thanks to goals from Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne. The win means City are now 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but second-placed Liverpool do have two games in hand, the first of which sees them host Leicester on Thursday. Joao Cancelo was once again in inspired form. He signed a new deal with City last week and this performance underlined why that was such a good move by the club – he was exceptional.
