City extend Premier League lead | City 5-0 Newcastle

A hugely significant weekend in the race for the Premier League title race ended with City beating Newcastle 5-0. After a gut-wrenching Champions League defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, City could not have had a better weekend as we extended our lead at the top of the Premier League table to three points with three matches of the season remaining. Liverpool drew 1-1 with Tottenham at Anfield on Saturday night, before a dominant performance at the Etihad saw us beat Newcastle 5-0. It saw a huge swing in goal difference, with City now four goals better off than Liverpool. This was a classy display from City, with the character we showed in bouncing back so brilliantly very encouraging indeed. Raheem Sterling scored two, with Laporte, Rodri and Foden also in the scoresheet. It was total control throughout for City.
