Ceri Walker

One For The Road - A podcast by David Wilson

Thanks for joining me for this week's episode of One For The Road. This week I am joined by Ceri Walker as we discuss what it is like as the child of an alcoholic. Six years ago, Ceri found the support group Nacoa after she made a film about her Mum's addiction for the Recovery Street Film festival. Finding them has been life-changing for her, as finally she understood that being a COA is a thing, and she felt that she could be herself, with all of her broken bits. She became a media volunteer, doing radio, newspaper, and tv interviews, in the hope of helping others feel less alone. This year Ceri had the huge privilege of speaking at the David Stafford Memorial lecture at the House of Commons. Helping support Nacoa and being the voice of children of alcoholics has become Ceri's purpose, and she really feels she's found who she is meant to be. All the work Ceri does is in loving memory of her Mum.If you want to connect with me via Instagram, you can find me on the instahandle @Soberdave https://www.instagram.com/soberdave/or via my website https://davidwilsoncoaching.com/Provided below are links for services offering additional help and advice for Ceri.https://www.instagram.com/ceri_walker_/https://www.instagram.com/nacoauk/https://www.instagram.com/oasisproject/https://nacoa.org.uk/understanding-the-child-in-me-by-ceri-walker%EF%BF%BC/?slug=latest-news-eventswww.drinkaware.co.uk/advice/alcohol-support-serviceshttps://nacoa.org.uk/Show producer- Daniella Attanasio-MartinezInstagram - @TheDaniellaMartinezhttps://www.instagram.com/thedaniellamartinez/ www.instagram.com/grownuphustle/ Learn more about your ad choices.
