302 - What Lisa's Self Care Looks Like
Organize 365 Podcast - A podcast by Lisa Woodruff
We have spent the last 2 months talking about how to get more done, and how to free up time to focus on your life goals. But, as productive as I am, I cannot work all of the time. Today, I want to help you understand how I make time to rejuvenate so that I can keep working hard on my business. Social media shows us self care as girls’ weekends, spa days, or expensive salon days. So often, self care is shown as “getting away” from all of the people and places we work so hard to care for. For me, I focus on the things that fill me up, leave me feeling cared for, and energize me. Today, I want to teach you about how I select self-care activities. Most of the self-care ideas I share cost $5 or less. I know how hard it can be to take care of yourself when you are pulled in many directions (especially with children) or don’t have tons of extra money to splurge. Spoiler alert - if you have been following me for even one week, you know I take a bath nearly every evening. The bath helps me to unwind, get away, and decompress. But, I also share several other simple, inexpensive, and relatively easy ways to focus on restoring yourself. Self care can be anything that you do for you. Things that make you feel good about yourself and how you present yourself. They are the things that fill you up. Please share your own self care tips and ideas (especially frugal ones) with our community. I'd love to hear what YOU do for your self care. Please share with me online.
