Joshua Becker of Becoming Minimalist defines minimalism as “the intentional promotion of the things that bring you joy and the removal of those that do not.”  Years ago, I pictured minimalism as a nearly empty room with just a table, chair, and may one frame hanging on the wall. Boring!  It was a foreign concept to me and didn't really care for it.  It could be that I had certain fears that if I adopted it, I would have to get rid of my most precious possessions. Hints of guilty feelings about having too much stuff, I suspect, also kept me away from the true essence of minimalism. Today, I am rethinking these beliefs and am excited that it's probably going to be one of the best things to happen to me (or for me to make happen, that is) and I may already be on the path. Hmmmm... Join me and my new friend, Desireé Robinson, as we chat about what she refers to as "realistic minimalism".   Desireé is a wife, mom of two littles, a homesteader, and passionate about helping moms live an intentional, mindful, and meaningful lifestyle. She currently hosts a podcast called "Unprocessed Momma Intentional Lifestyle" where moms can find support with realistic minimalism and eliminating toxins.
