Sylvain Berneron on building Breitling and side hustlin his own brand

Today, we chat with Sylvain Berneron, a talented watch designer who — unusually for the Swiss watch industry — has dual responsibilities. He’s in charge of design at Breitling, spending his days working on the latest evolutions of some of the most iconic sports chronographs ever made. On top of that, he’s also the founder of his own watch brand, Berneron, which has debuted the impressive, elegant Mirage, a shaped watch with a shaped movement that challenges many of the established conventions of watch design. Berneron explains the design and the very specific decisions that went into the Mirage and what his future plans for the Berneron brand are.
