OMIS - Lovette Jallow on #Swedengate Taking Over Social Media

This week social media was on fire as the hashtag #Swedengate gave the nation's carefully-cultured image a bit of a shoeing over some its cultural curiosities. An innocent story of a kid left alone while their friend went to eat dinner in a different room was met with gentle criticism and mockery - that in turn was met with outright racism as many people of colour shared their experiences of being excluded in other social settings. The woman behind the #Swedengate hashtag is author, academic and activist Lovette Jallow, and she kindly came on the podcast to explain the reasons behind this very public conversation, and where Sweden is headed from here.
