1-4-24 Larry Bowa on Pete Rose Not in Hall of Fame, Missing Piece for Phillies

Out of Bounds with Bo Bounds - A podcast by Bo Bounds

MLB legend and five-time Allstar Larry Bowa who won a world series both as a player and then as a coach joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line. Bo asks Larry when he was with the Phillies when did they realize they were going to be good. Larry says that in the mid 70s they started to play really good but were still missing something. The missing piece was Pete Rose. At that point Dallas Green took over and that is what led them to where they were in the 1980s. After a tough series with Houston, Bowa felt there was really no pressure on them going in the World Series at that point.
