Laugh it off

Overcome Emotional Eating - A podcast by Pamella Arnold

Last week I had my first ever snowboarding class in a cool snow centre here in the UK.It was my husband's birthday and I wanted to surprise him by doing something we never done before, and it was so much fun.The most fun part for me was falling down into the snow and laughing out loud, literally. Two things happened... the more I fell the better I was getting at snowboarding AND the more I fell the more fun I was having. In the other hand, I could see the opposite with my husband. Paul was falling down and getting frustrated and wanting to quit and go home.We were both falling down, but how we reacted to it was our own choice.I decided to have fun and laugh it off, Paul at first decided to get frustrated and give up... So, I realised that we're the ones who get to choose how we deal with our challenges. When we want to lose weight and stop emotional eating we have lots of challenges, and you can choose to laugh it off and improve, or get frustrated and quit.I choose fun, laughter and improvement. What do you want to choose for yourself? After a couple of rounds, my husband decided to have fun instead of getting frustrated which made his experience way more pleasant and easier in the end of the day.Want to know more about the lessons I've learned on that day? Tune in and listen to today's episode of Overcome Emotional Eating Podcast.I have open spaces for my 1:1 programme this month, so get in touch with me on my Instagram or my websiteSupport the show
