  Artificial Intelligence. As a child of the 80s, I remember fondly one of my favorite movies and its subsequent sequels about when the machines gain self-awareness and take over. If you are too young and don’t recall that movie, perhaps you remember the catch phrase “I’ll Be Back.” If you still don’t know, good golly, get out and go see The Terminator! When I hear about artificial intelligence and thinking about that movie, I can’t help to be a little apprehensive about using it. I don’t think we are on any cusp of machines taking over, but we do have a powerful new tool that has the potential to revolutionize how we approach medicine, patient care, and our jobs.
