In the modern era of personalized medicine, treatment of patients with advanced GI cancers has moved beyond a chemotherapy-centric model to one in which effective treatments can be matched to individual patients based on genomic testing results. What do colorectal and pancreatic cancer providers need to know about baseline testing and personalized treatment strategies, including those that target less common genomic mutations causing RET and NTRK alterations?
