Ego

Poetic Flow - A podcast by Ann Boothello

Ego, a word from the early 19th century from Latin, literally meaning "I." It denotes a person's self esteem or self-importance. It can drag people down a black hole they don't know they're in, detached from the connectedness of the world. Narcissism, self absorption, playing victim are some of the few traits. Most of humanity has worn the hat of "I" at some point in their lives. When "I" takes over, we are highly individualistic, not working for the collective greater good, that's aligned with a higher purpose and more importantly with the energy of our universe. When we're not aligned, life is a battle, we fight alone, and who really wants to live like that? There is a healthy and unhealthy ego. A person will power is driven from their ego to achieve. Now imagine, you use your will to create for the great good, that's your healthy ego at play, and it'll keep you moving forward in a humble spirit to achieve fulfillment. Use it, for the greater good.
