She conducted scientific research at Columbia University, Rockefeller University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute and worked in the Biopharmaceutical industry. Dr. Nuani was involved in studies that discovered the genes causing diabetes, obesity and various cancers. During her career, she interacted and worked closely with scientists from a wide array of institutions (e.g. the Astrazeneca, Merck, Pfizer, Wyeth, CDC, FDA, Johnson & Johnson, NIH, USDA, etc.) focusing on research and drug development to bring new diagnostics and drugs to the market.
