Scott Levin holds the title of Paul B. Magnuson Professor of Bone and Joint Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (Penn). He is also the Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medical Director of the Penn Musculoskeletal and Rheumatology Service Line, and Director of the Hand Transplant Program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At Duke University, Dr. Levin was instrumental in establishing the Human Fresh Tissue Laboratory and the Anatomic Gifts Program. He replicated this initiative at Penn, where the laboratory has become central to research and education. Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Hand Surgery, Dr. Levin's specialties include hand and upper extremity surgery and advanced microsurgical techniques. His groundbreaking work includes leading the world's first bilateral hand transplant in a child in 2015. A respected educator, Dr. Levin has earned various accolades and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Orthoplastic Surgery.
