PHEC 084: Interview with Dr. Monique Brown, Professor, Researcher, Consultant

Dr. Brown talks about her journey into public health and her experiences along the way.  She is a professor, researcher, owns a consulting business, and hosts a podcast.  She is passionate about HIV research, mental health, trauma, and aging.  She shares some valuable tips and advice for public health students, professionals, and those interested in starting a business. I also want to point out that this interview was recorded when I was sick.  Hopefully you’ll be able to move past the sound of my voice and just focus on the information that we actually discuss.  I was worried that my congestion would be too much of a distraction, but my interview schedule is sometimes a little hard to maneuver and change and I knew it would be difficult to reschedule the interview.  So, I decided to continue as planned.  My editor said that I don’t sound too bad, but I just wanted to explain that ahead of time.
