Daily Puck Drop: Sports are dumb and incredible at the same time. Guests: Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 "Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast."

PuckSports - A podcast by Jason Puckett

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast.  Puck starts off the show without Jim Moore, who is out sick, talking bout the Seahawks win and that without a doubt it was a signature win for Mike Macdonald.  The Seahawks season was on the brink and they were able to pull off a great win on the road. Geno was great on the final drive and the defense looked like how we all thought Mike Macdonald’s defense was going to look. Puck switched gears and talked about the Cougars loss to New Mexico and once again the defense continues to be an issue. Puck thinks a change needs to be made with their defensive coordinator and let Jake Dickert just call the defense for the final two games of the season. But, Puck could sense a loss was coming and it finally did. Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 join Jason “Puck” Puckett for the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast brought to you by Georgetown Brewery. All three agree that was clearly the best win of the season and one of the best wins for the Seahawks in the last several years. The defense was no doubt the story from the game, but the performance of Geno Smith, especially on the final drive was quintessential the “Geno Smith Roller Coaster” experience! Offensive line looked better with Abe Lucas back and Olu Oluwatimi playing center. However, as the three discussed, the running game is still very much an issue.  Devon Witherspoon was everywhere and just showed why he’s such an unbelievable weapon for Macdonald.  The play of Tyrice Knight and Ernest Jones was phenomenal and illustrated why a move at linebacker was necessary. All of sudden the Seahawks have a legitimate shot to claim first place in the division next week.  Sports are dumb and terrific at the same time. Puck then returns and discusses the rest of the sports weekend with “Weekend Roundup.”   The dud that was the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight, however, the women’s fight was incredible.  Are the Steelers now a legit Super Bowl contender?  Drew Lock can’t catch a break and big deal the Bills beat the Chiefs. Prove it in the playoffs. Finally, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  Puck goes back to the Seahawks.  Sports are incredibly stupid and incredibly awesome at the same time. Most Seahawks fans and Puck included had written this team off, but they found a way to have a gutsy physical win.  A win that could very well define Mike Macdonald and the rest of the season.
