This is a shockingly effective tool I learned from one of the grandfathers of personal growth: Dr. Maxwell Maltz in his seminal work "Psychocybernetics" Click here to read the book 😊 This process, called “Let it Ring”, is a great visual & metaphor that will help you create enough space between you and your emotional triggers in order for you to release & reprogram them. Many of our current emotionally experiences of fear have little to do with what is actually happening in the moment and are more so an effect of us re-living a past traumatic experience that happened when we didn’t have the cognition to understand or process what was happening. And so we repeat the same programmed loop over and over whether we’re actually threatened or not. Fortunately, you can change these pathways through the use of a pattern interrupt, like for example taking a deep breath, clapping your hands, or the technique I’m sharing today. Over time, you will dissolve the old pathway and create new, more empowered and ever-evolving responses to life.
