Changing Australia: Matt Dun's mission to cure a deadly childhood cancer

Radio National Breakfast — Separate stories podcast - A podcast by ABC listen - Tuesdays

Professor Matt Dun didn't originally set out to be a cancer researcher.  He started his professional career in the navy and finished his high school certificate as an adult at TAFE at night. Today, he is the go-to expert for a rare and deadly childhood cancer, for short known as DIPG, or DMG.  Children with the disease usually live less than a year after diagnosis. Guest: Matt Dun, Professor of Haematology/Oncology Research at the University of Newcastle, and founder of Run DIPG
