Regional towns that could one day be hosting a nuclear power generator — if the federal opposition gets its way — had their say on the idea at parliamentary committee hearings across two states this week. Victoria's Latrobe Valley, long a site for coal-fired power generation, has been earmarked as one of seven possible locations under the Coalition's plan to add nuclear to the energy mix.
