Meet Wisdom, the 74-year-old egg laying albatross - Science and brainteaser with Dr Jonathan Webb
Radio National Breakfast — Separate stories podcast - A podcast by ABC listen - Wednesdays
Earlier this week, on Midway Atoll in the northern Pacific, biologists spotted a female albatross fussing over her new egg, along with her mate. But this wasn't any albatross: she is the world's oldest known bird - first observed and tagged in the same location in 1956, and now estimated to be at least 74 years old. Guest: Dr Jonathan Webb, ABC Science Editor Brainteaser (answer in the audio): Name another word that could belong to this set: TAB REED FLOW GOD TANG For more of the latest science news, look for the science section on the ABC News website and sign up to a weekly email newsletter.
