There have been chaotic scenes in Vanuatu overnight, as search and rescue teams look for survivors in damaged buildings in the wake of a powerful earthquake. At least six people have died after the magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck near the capital Port Vila yesterday afternoon, triggering landslides, crushing cars and flattening multiple buildings. Australia is sending urban search and rescue teams and other emergency assistance.
