Former U-S President, Jimmy Carter, has died at the age of 100. He served from 1977 to 1981 as the 39th president of the United States, and was the the longest-lived president in US history. In office he championed progressive values, but only served a single term. He went on though to have an extraordinary career advocating for peace and human rights around the world earning him the Nobel peace prize in 2002.
