What's Israel's long term goal in Syria?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has released a video statement overnight saying that Israel has no interest in a conflict with Syria. But since the fall of the Assad regime, Israel has been conducting hundreds of air strikes in Syria which Israel described as aimed as thwarting potential threats.
