The political year in New Zealand is ending on a climactic note, after tens of thousands of people joined a protest against a bill to revise the Treaty of Waitangi. Following the demonstration, the latest polls show a drop in support for Prime Minister Christopher Luxton, who promised to support the draft bill in order to form a coalition government.
