Yann pursues his calling and keeps money in perspective

This week, I’m joined by social entrepreneur Yann. As a first-generation immigrant to the UK, Yann explains the challenges he faced as a young person, reconciling the different cultural norms between his native Nigeria and his new home in the UK. Yann describes how his emotionally secure upbringing enabled him to avoid seeking the acceptance of others through overspending and to reject conspicuous consumption and to live within his means. And Yann explains how he recovered from the failure of his first social enterprise to go on to create other successful ventures, focused on helping people help themselves through education.
