Blaze Bernstein was a 19-year-old pre-med student at the University of Pennsylvania in January 2018. During winter break from college, he was murdered by a former high school classmate. Authorities declared Blaze was the victim of a hate crime, he was both openly gay and Jewish.     Jeanne Pepper Bernstein, Blaze’s mother, discusses his life and legacy. Blaze It Forward, is a campaign to do good things and inspire people to do intentional acts of kindness.
