If weight loss was ALL mental, you could sit around and think your way to goal weight (without having to address what you're doing that's causing your weight problem in the first place). Does mindset have a place? Oh, absolutely! The right mindset makes everything easier. But weight loss is not "all" mental. That's like saying getting your car out of the garage and into the grocery store parking lot is ALL mental.
