In the UK, 209,600 will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes, and 70 per cent of people in care homes have dementia or severe memory problems. I am joined by April Dobson, Head of Dementia at Hallmark Care Homes to discuss this important topic. April and I discussed the rise of awareness for people living with Dementia since the 80s when it was often disregarded as ‘just getting older'.
