We can't talk about old Hollywood without talking about the one and only..Judy Garland! Born in Minnesota into a Vaudeville family, Judy Garland eventually made her way to California where she got signed on the spot to MGM at 13 years old. The shine of Hollywood quickly wore off for Judy as MGM kept her on a grueling schedule supported by pep pills and downers that ultimately led to a life of addiction and depression. However, a theme we constantly see in Judy's life, she got back on her feet, reinvented herself and worked until her tragic death at 47 years old.
