En los años 50 el skiffle fue una música muy popular en Inglaterra, un estilo que poseía una fuerte base de folk y tradición estadounidense. Muchos músicos del mersey beat o el R’n’B procedían de aquella escena del skiffle, por lo que tenían una sólida base de folk norteamericano. Grupos ingleses como The Animals o The Beatles tuvieron una fuerte influencia en la aparición del folk rock en EEUU, y a su vez, Bob Dylan o The Byrds tuvieron un enorme impacto en la música británica. Muchas de las grandes bandas inglesas del momento se aproximaron en algún momento al folk rock y en este episodio recordamos algunos de los nombres más emblemáticos.
