008. Martina Valmassoi | A 360° approach to the outdoors: running, skiing, shooting and sharing
Running long - A trail & ultra running talk - A podcast by Vert.run - Wednesdays

Martina Valmassoi is an outdoor athlete and a community manager for Salomon. She comes from Italy and she’s based in the beautiful Dolomites, where you’ll most likely find her climbing up a slope, running on a ridge or taking breathtaking pictures from her skimo, running or cycling adventures. She’s worked with many elite runners and with the most iconic races and trail running events all over the world. She’s developed a very personal approach to the sport which she likes to share with authenticity and style. In this episode we talk about her relationship with nature, her balance between training and working, how she combines ski mountaineering and trail running. Martina does what many people would consider their dream job, travelling, working with athletes and events and communicating all this to the world. We talk about how it started and how it’s going, and how it’s not always as easy as it looks, and how she took her chances and risks earlier in her career. We talk about her relationship with social media and how she sees the development of trail running. Finally, we finish her interview with a series of one-shot questions asking her opinion on the ultimate Italian dilemma: pizza or pasta?
