James Huw is a trail runner, a science presenter, a geologist, astronomy and climate scientist from Wales, UK. James’ mission is to communicate science, make science cool and accessible to people. With Kilian Jornet he founded the Athlete Climate Academy, a place to give outdoor athletes the background they need to discuss climate change and environmental issues with confidence. In this episode we talk about the language of science and how science should be a leading force of our society. We discuss the needs of individual and collective action when it comes to climate change, the impact of trail running and the outdoor industry on the environment, advocating for systemic change, and some actions that we can easily implement as individuals to have a greater positive impact on climate change.
