This lecture discusses the 16th century philosopher, theologian, and mathematician, Blaise Pascal, and focuses on his work, the Pensees. Specifically it discusses his famous "Wager" about the existence of God. Pascal argues that one has to choose one way or another about the matter, in how one lives and commits one's life. He frames the problem in terms of a bet or gamble, in which we stake our present life, and have a possibility to win eternal happiness and life.
