This lecture discusses key ideas from the work of the 20th century philosopher and historian, Michel Foucault, "The Subject and Power" It focuses specifically on why he thinks that it is important to focus on the "How" of power relations, rather than just the "What" and the "Why". He also distinguishes objective capacities from communicative/sign systems, and power relations, and discusses how they interconnect with each other.
