Fostering racial unity in the Church | with Wain

Saints Unscripted - A podcast by Saints Unscripted

We are thrilled to have Wain on the show today! Wain Myers wrote a remarkable book (linked below) and was a stellar leader of Genesis Group. Today he joins us to talk about how leaders of the LDS Church (and members at-large) can change the environment toward greater inclusion for Black members of the Church (otherwise known as the Mormon Church). Wain has seen much pain and struggle among his fellow Black members of the church but says such pain isn't new and should be addressed immediately. He also talks about the importance of taking care of the people closest to you first (such as the Black members IN the church) before trying to build connections when your home isn't stable. His thoughts are equally powerful and hopeful. From this episode, we hope you gain insight as to what you can do to better build relationships with those around you and address the difficult thing right as they come up. Check out Wain's book!
