Sexually harassed and afraid to tell: migrant women over-represented but under-reported

A new national survey has revealed more 51% of the migrant women workers interviewed have experienced workplace sexual harassment but most were afraid to report it. Unions New South Wales interviewed 3,388 women of migrant backgrounds - mostly women on temporary visas. Seventy-five per cent of those women say they didn't report the incidents, as they feared retribution. Experts are calling for significant reforms to make these workers safer.
